Advertising Fees

Etsy offers two main advertising options:

  • Etsy Ads: These are the ads you see directly on the Etsy platform, showing up as sponsored listings in search results when shoppers browse for products like yours. It works on a cost-per-click (CPC) model, where you set a daily budget to manage your ad spend. The actual CPC varies based on keyword competition, meaning the more popular the search term, the higher the cost. You’re only charged when someone clicks on your ad.
  • Offsite Ads: These ads extend beyond Etsy, reaching potential customers on external sites like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and other partners. You’re only charged a fee if a shopper clicks on the ad and makes a purchase within 30 days. For shops earning under $10,000 a year, the fee is 15% of the sale. If your revenue tops $10,000, the rate drops to 12%.  The Offsite Ad fee will never exceed $100 for an order, regardless of the order total.
