The final value fee is what you pay when your item sells on eBay. It's a % of the total sale amount, which covers the item price, shipping costs, and any other buyer-paid costs — excluding sales tax. The exact % varies based on the item category and whether you have an eBay Store subscription.
In addition to the final value fee, there’s also the per order fee: $0.30 for orders $10 or less, and $0.40 for orders over $10.
