Additional Final Value Fees

Additional final value fees are extra charges applied in certain circumstances, on top of the standard final value fees when an item is sold.  These extra charges are typically a result of performance issues or policy violations by the seller.

Situations where additional fees are applied:

  1. If a seller’s account falls short of eBay's minimum performance standards (evaluated on the 20th of each month), an additional 6% is tacked onto the final value fees for that month’s sales.
  1. If a seller is found buying or selling outside of eBay's platform, additional fees are applied based on the total sale amount.
  1. If a seller receives a high rate of returns due to items being "not as described," in the evaluation on the 20th of the month in one or more categories, an additional 5% fee may be imposed on future sales in those categories.
