Commingling VAT

The Amazon Commingling VAT charges appear when sellers participate in Amazon’s FBA Commingling Program, where identical products from multiple Amazon sellers are pooled together. Instead of tracking individual products by seller, Amazon uses manufacturer barcodes to fulfill orders with items from this shared inventory.

When a commingled item is sold or bought, two types of VAT transactions may be generated:

  • Commingling sell: VAT payable when an Amazon seller's item is transferred or sold to another FBA seller participating in the commingling program.
  • Commingling buy: VAT associated with acquiring an item from another FBA seller in the commingled inventory.
