In honor of our coffee machine, which brewed over 27,000 cups since day one before retiring this year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what kept us going in 2024—besides caffeine.
Just imagine if Santa dropped off an extra 108,333 business days under your tree this year. No deadlines, no last-minute rush, no hunting for missing payouts in your books—sounds like a holiday miracle, right? For us, it was the gift of 2024.
By syncing over 26 million transactions (totaling a massive $10 billion!), we saved businesses the equivalent of those days—enough time to focus on growth or enjoy the ultimate holiday binge-watching marathon. Think every episode of Friends, The Office, and Game of Thrones, back-to-back… not once, not twice, but around 1,200 times!
So, what made it possible? Much like our coffee machine, which fueled countless moments of inspiration and collaboration, Synder’s journey through 2024 was powered by resilience and innovation. Let’s rewind this year and review the highlights that kept us all moving forward.
#1. Core features updates
This year, we set our sights on two major goals: rolling out our newest star, Synder RevRec and supercharging the Summary sync mode.
Synder RevRec release
2024 marked a significant milestone for Synder with the launch of our newest product, Synder RevRec. This automated tool simplifies GAAP-compliant revenue recognition by ensuring subscription revenue is recognized on the income statement when obligations are fulfilled, not when cash is received. With Synder RevRec, you gain a clear, month-by-month breakdown of deferred and recognized revenue, so you always know exactly where you stand.
Here’s a look at some of the key features Synder RevRec brings to the table:
- Accurate subscription data sync to books: Automatically track Stripe subscription changes and create recognition schedules with ease. Not using Stripe? No problem—upload Excel files from any platform into the RevRec module for detailed and accurate revenue recognition.
- Revenue recognition for Stripe one-time invoices: Assign service periods for one-time Stripe invoices, ensuring precise revenue recognition for each transaction.
- Revenue recognition for Summary sync: Enhance your financial analysis with revenue recognition capabilities now available in the Summary sync mode, providing a more comprehensive view of your financials.
- Waterfall by Month Report: Visualize how amounts booked in one month will be recognized over subsequent months with this new report, offering deeper insights into your revenue flow.

Summary sync improvements
We made some big changes in overall flow optimization to give users more control:
- Summary Sync for Xero: Xero users can now synchronize data with Xero in two modes: per transaction or as summarized entries.
- Open invoices sync for Stripe and Shopify: A new feature allows syncing of open invoices from Stripe and Shopify based on their transaction handling preferences.
- Dynamic groups: This functionality allows users to view how mappings are formed and add or manage custom groups for better clarity.

#2. Expanding horizons with new integrations
Syncing millions of transactions isn’t magic—it’s all about the right connections. This year, we’ve been busy expanding our list of integrations:
- Sage Intacct: Our latest addition to the accounting platform family. Synder now supports four accounting platforms: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, and Sage Intacct.
- Cin7: An inventory management system that automates the recording of orders, fees, and payouts from platforms like Shopify and PayPal.
- New marketplaces: We’ve also added four new integrations with TikTok Shop (available for both US and UK stores), Squarespace, Faire, and X-Cart.
#3. New achievements and partnerships
Synder included in QuickBooks’s Accountant Approved Bundles
Synder is now part of QuickBooks’ exclusive “Accountant Approved Bundles”! This recognition from Intuit isn’t just a badge of honor; it’s a testament to the trust accounting professionals place in us. It shows we’re providing the results-driven tools they need to help their clients thrive.
Synder joined the BDO Alliance USA
Synder officially joined the BDO Alliance USA as a Products and Services provider. Partnering with one of the largest networks of independent accounting, tax, and advisory firms allows us to broaden our reach and bring smarter financial solutions to businesses across a wide range of industries.
Synder highlighted as popular with businesses in the US on Shopify App Store
Synder was also spotlighted as “Popular with Businesses in the United States” on the Shopify App Store. This highlight reflects the trust and satisfaction of our ever-growing community of Shopify users—a proud moment that shows we’re delivering on our promise to simplify financial workflows.
Synder earned a total of 36 G2 badges
This year, we gained 36 badges from G2 in numerous categories, such as Ecommerce Data Integration, Small Business, and Accounts Receivable. We’re proud to be recognized as leaders in our field and excited to raise the bar even higher in 2025!
