This guide explains how to rebuild summaries after updating the product verification status in Synder and address the ‘Attention Required’ status.
Use this guide if:
- You enabled Disable sync for summaries with unverified products.
- Some summaries show ‘Attention Required’ status due to unverified products.
- You updated the product verification status and want to sync/resync summaries.
- You already synced summaries, but changed product costs.
After completing these steps, summaries with verified products will move to “Ready to sync” status. The system will resync previously synced summaries with corresponding product details and COGS.
How to rebuild summaries with ‘Attention required’ status
When Synder syncs your transactions, it also imports the related products. By default, Synder labels newly imported products as Unverified. This status will not affect summary syncing unless you enable the feature Disable sync for summaries with unverified products.

Once you’ve enabled this feature and updated the product verification status, you will need to rebuild the summaries. Rebuilding will remove ‘Attention Required’ status and allow summary synchronization to your accounting platform.
- Click on the Summaries tab dropdown on the left-side menu.
- Click on the Summaries list.
- Filter Transaction status by Attention required.
- Select the summaries.
- Click Rebuild.
After completing this process, the summary status will change to Ready to sync. You can now sync the summaries to your accounting platform!
How to rebuild summaries with Synced status
If you sync a summary before updating the product verification status, you’ll need to resync it to apply the changes. This step is especially important if you’ve updated any product costs, ensuring your books accurately reflect COGS.
- Click on the Summaries tab dropdown on the left-side menu.
- Click on the Summaries list.
- Navigate to the Synced to your books section.
- Select the necessary summaries and click Resync.
After you resync the summaries, Synder removes the original entry from your accounting platform and creates a new one with the updated product details.
Important notes
- Verifying the products will not release the summaries for synchronization automatically. Make sure to always rebuild the summaries after the product verification.
- You also need to rebuild summaries that were in ‘Ready to Sync’ status before enabling the Disable sync for summaries with unverified products setting.
FAQ
- How can I identify which product is causing the summary to be flagged with ‘Attention Required‘ status?
If even one product within the summary is unverified, it will be flagged with Attention Required status. You can access “Products and services” tab from the left-side menu, filter by verification status → Unverified → Verify the products.
- What happens if I disable the setting Disable sync for summaries with unverified products after some of the summaries were already flagged with Attention required status?
The summaries with ‘Attention Required’ status don‘t change automatically. You can rebuild the summaries to change the status to Ready to sync and allow the synchronization.
