What is the issue?

When you create an item in QuickBooks Online, it cannot be classified as inventory if the “Track quantity on hand” setting is turned off. This issue often arises if you are using Shopify and have enabled Inventory management in Synder, which attempts to create inventory products in your accounting software. However, if the “Track quantity on hand” setting is disabled in QuickBooks Online, Synder cannot create the inventory item.

How to fix it:

You have two options to resolve this issue, depending on whether you want to track inventory in QuickBooks Online.

If you want to track inventory

Enable “Track Quantity on Hand”:

-Log in to QuickBooks Online.
-Click on the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and settings.

-Go to the Sales tab.
-Enable the Track quantity on hand setting. You might also want to enable Track quantity and price/rate.
-Click Save, then Done.

If You Do not Want to Track Inventory

Disable Inventory management in Synder:

-Log in to Synder.
-Go to the Settings tab on the left-side menu.
-Select Shopify from the Integration dropdown.
-Navigate to the Default settings.
-Go to the Inventory tab.
-Disable the Inventory management setting.
-Click Update to save the changes.

Re-sync the failed transactions

To re-sync the failed transaction, follow the steps below:

-Go to the Transactions tab in Synder.
-Select Platform transactions.
-Put a checkmark next to the transactions with the Failed status that you want to re-sync. (Tip: You can filter these transactions by selecting Failed in the Sync status column and clicking Apply filter).
-Click the blue Actions button in the upper-left corner, then hit Sync. Confirm by clicking Sync in the pop-up window.
