class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>POS Orders<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any sale made through Shopify\u2019s <strong>Point of Sale (POS) system<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Example: in-person sales at a physical store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manual Orders<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Orders <strong>created manually by a merchant<\/strong> within Shopify (not placed by a customer online).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Example: a customer calls in an order, and the merchant enters it directly in Shopify.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Orders<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shopify orders <strong>paid via third-party gateways<\/strong> (outside Shopify Payments).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Example: an online order paid through PayPal, Stripe, or another external payment processor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Accounting Considerations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Excluded from Shopify Payouts<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>POS, manual, and other orders and their refunds are <strong>not included in Shopify payouts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since Synder uses payouts to reconcile online sales clearing accounts, you must separate these transactions to maintain accurate balances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Separate Clearing Account Required<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each of these transaction types should have a <strong>dedicated clearing account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This ensures <strong>online sales clearing accounts<\/strong> remain accurate and reconciled via payouts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do <strong>not<\/strong> use the online sales clearing account for these orders.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Default Settings in Synder for Shopify<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Synder provides <strong>pre-configured additional settings<\/strong> for POS, manual, and other order types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These settings automatically assign these transactions to their <strong>own clearing accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes made on the <strong>default tab<\/strong> do <strong>not<\/strong> affect these transaction types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To update their settings, use the <strong>Additional Settings tab<\/strong> specific to each transaction
