Learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/how-to-update-your-xero-settings\/\">How to Update Your Xero Settings<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Auto-Import \u2013 <\/strong>When ON, Synder automatically imports transactions from your PayPal integration without affecting your sync balance or syncing them to Xero. When disabled transaction imports are manual on Synder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Auto-sync<\/strong> \u2013 When ON, Synder automatically syncs transactions after import. When OFF, you will sync transactions manually by individually selecting them from the platform transactions tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skip synchronization for duplicated transactions<\/strong> * \u2013 When enabled, Synder skips transactions that already exist in Xero with the same ID, preventing duplicates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Process transactions in multiple currencies<\/strong> \u2013 When enabled, Synder syncs all transactions regardless of currency. When disabled, Synder syncs only transactions in your home currency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Automatically Archive Pending Transactions<\/strong> \u2013 When enabled, Synder removes pending PayPal transactions that PayPal never finalized, keeping your Synder dashboard clean.<br><br><em>To manually archive a transaction, go to the Platform Transaction tab, locate the transaction, click the three dots next to it, and select \u202fArchive.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shipping item name *<\/strong> \u2013 Enter the PayPal item name used for shipping. Use this setting only if shipping appears as a line item in your sales transactions. If PayPal records shipping in the shipping field, no additional setup is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Timezone<\/strong> \u2013 Displays your PayPal account\u2019s timezone to help match dates between PayPal and Xero.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/automatic-xero-bank-reconciliation-feature\/\"><strong>Auto-reconcile Xero transactions<\/strong><\/a> \u2013This feature automatically reconciles transactions synced via Synder in your Xero accounting company.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-sales-6f6fa0ec-6a2c-4fc5-b930-d5c1a6de34db\"><strong>2. Choose or enter a default name, such as \u201cPayPal Customer,\u201d to apply to all transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sync discounts as products<\/strong> ** \u2013 Discounts can be synced as separate products, such as \u201cPayPal Discount,\u201d for detailed tracking on your Profit &amp; Loss report.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sync only Payments\/Deposits * <\/strong>\u2013 Enable this setting to record order-related payments as Receive Payments instead of Sales Receipts or Invoices and Payments. You can then apply them to invoices manually. Synder matches original names to existing products in your accounting software by name or SKU and creates a new product when no match exists.<span style=\"color: initial;\">\u00a0Common product names help standardize future transactions.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>If the original product is missing<\/strong>\u00a0from<\/span> the sales platform, Synder will use the selected item or SKU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Configure product search priority<\/strong> \u2013 Allows you to define whether Synder searches by SKU or product name first when matching products between PayPal and Xero. See our guide for more details, <a href=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/transaction-can-not-be-synchronized-without-product-or-service\/\"><strong>Product Search Priority<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>If the matching product is not found<\/strong> * \u2013 If the matching product doesn\u2019t exist in QuickBooks Online, Synder can either create a new product or cancel the transaction sync.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assign income account <\/strong>\u2013<strong> <\/strong>Select the income account that is used for the newly created product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assign expense account<\/strong> \u2013 Select the expense account that is used for the newly created product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inventory Management **<\/strong> \u2013 When enabled, Synder supports inventory products and posts inventory transactions. You must select the inventory asset account and the cost of goods sold (COGS) account. See more details about the inventory below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inventory<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can configure Synder to create inventory products in Xero. If no product with the same name or SKU exists, Synder will create a new inventory product automatically. You can select different tax rates for taxed and non-taxed transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Marketplace Facilitator Tax Category<\/strong> \u2013 Synder records marketplace-remitted taxes in both the sales and expense sections of your transactions for accurate reporting of your lack of tax liabilities.
