You will learn how to confirm that your synchronized summaries match the balances in your payment platform. This feature works with daily and payout-based summaries in Summary Sync mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use this guide if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are using Summary Sync (daily or payout summaries)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You want to confirm balances before posting to accounting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need to reconcile a clearing account (Stripe, Shopify, PayPal, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your summaries are already synced and processed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"preparation-6e96b597-c38c-49f5-abd3-081cefadd834\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you begin, make sure all summaries in the selected period are fully processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Summary statuses:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fully fetched<\/strong> \u2013 All transactions imported<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Partially fetched<\/strong> \u2013 Some transactions still importing or failed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pending<\/strong> \u2013 Transactions still being fetched<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If any summaries show a <strong>Partially fetched<\/strong> or <strong>Pending<\/strong> status, resolve them before you start the reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Note:<\/em><\/strong><em> Most failed transactions include troubleshooting instructions directly in the error message on the individual Transaction List. reconciliation period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Turnover Balance<\/strong> reflects the total net activity for the selected period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"balance-retrieval-2bc900c0-2b93-42fc-8023-4f2daec373aa\"><strong>Balance retrieval<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To reconcile accurately, you need to retrieve the correct starting and ending balances from your connected integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Example (<strong>Stripe<\/strong>):<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Stripe \u2192 Reports \u2192 Balance summary.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the date range to match the balance reconciliation period in Synder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that the <strong>time zone<\/strong> in Stripe matches the one set steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <strong>Start Reconciliation.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the list of transactions displayed for the period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select transactions that belong to the reconciliation period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the selected transactions bring your balance difference to zero, click Synder treats existing reconciled periods as final, so they cannot overlap with new reconciliations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can I change the reconciliation end date or amounts?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>Yes, but keep in mind that changing the end date or amounts will delete all subsequent reconciliations.
