Even though a customer has purchased your product and paid Amazon, you won&#8217;t receive those funds (or see them in Synder) until Amazon &#8220;releases&#8221; the transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of it as Amazon holding your money in escrow until certain conditions are met, rather than paying you immediately when the sale occurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-does-amazon-defer-transactions-6452697d-3002-4562-854f-a396f6aacc70\"><strong>Why does Amazon defer transactions?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon expanded this system significantly in November 2024 to balance seller cash flow with consumer protection. There are two main reasons your transactions might be deferred:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-delivery-date-based-reserve-policy-ddbr-735b0ce7-08cd-4984-b0a0-9d5c98ab9ed9\"><strong>1. This gap is referred to as \u201cthe reserved period\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-you-should-expect-f7dc2e17-6fef-4a2a-9233-a50e58d9c1e5\"><strong>What you should expect<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>As of October 2024, both FBA and Merchant Fulfilled orders are subject to deferred transactions. For standard orders, you can expect to see payments appear 1\u20132 weeks after the original sale date. For Amazon business orders, the delay is typically longer\u2014around 4\u20136 weeks after the sale.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-you-dont-see-recent-sales-immediately-d18389c6-7881-44b9-af18-a5657da56d0f\"><strong>Why you don&#8217;t see recent sales immediately<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Synder can only import transactions that Amazon has &#8220;released&#8221; as Amazon doesn&#8217;t make deferred transactions available through their API or settlement reports until they&#8217;re ready to be released on a payout date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recent sales (especially from the last 1-2 weeks) may not appear in Synder yet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is normal and expected behavior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transactions will appear once Amazon releases them in the settlement report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-view-your-deferred-transactions-a930a0fc-225a-4291-8d55-ca6fb473dd91\"><strong>How to view your deferred transactions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While you wait for transactions to appear in Synder, you can check their status directly in Amazon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into your Amazon Seller Central account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the Payments dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Transaction View&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8220;Deferred Transactions&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you&#8217;ll see a list of pending sales with their expected release dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"managing-cash-flow-expectations-59cbd176-d034-4c5e-b8ed-c1150ebd8d7c\"><strong>Managing cash flow expectations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s completely normal to see a delay between when a sale happens and when it shows up in your accounting software.
