Consider using monthly summaries if you prefer fewer records in your books. This aggregation mode is particularly helpful if you reconcile on a monthly basis and don\u2019t need the data synchronized to the books daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One summary is created per calendar month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The summary remains in <strong>Fetching\/Pending<\/strong> status during the month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It finalizes automatically on the first day of the following month.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>Monthly summaries are available for all accounting platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"manual-custom-period-summaries-b46d2310-b87b-4415-ba94-b662bfe557d4\"><strong>Manual (Custom Period) Summaries<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Manual summaries allow custom date ranges. Consider using manual (custom period) summaries if you have non-standard accounting periods or if you reconcile specific date ranges for audits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can generate summaries manually for periods up to 31 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also stop automatic summary period creation and control how Synder aggregates your data. The next period is generated in a new mode.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must manually adjust overlapping periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"example-missing-data-42aa7952-8026-40ae-874a-0dd86ab53dca\"><strong>Example: Missing Data<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you switch from <strong>Daily \u2192 Monthly<\/strong> on May 20:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Daily summaries exist until May 20<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The next automatic monthly summary will cover June<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The summaries for May 21\u201331 period will <strong>NOT<\/strong> be created automatically<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Generate the summary for May 21-31 manually to avoid missing data.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"example-duplicate-data-a8c79a46-2122-42eb-8930-58dbea5ce835\"><strong>Example: Duplicate Data<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you switch from <strong>Monthly \u2192 Daily<\/strong> on May 20:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The entire monthly summary for May still gets finalized for the full May period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starting May 21, daily summaries will be generated for the rest of the month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data for May 21\u201331 will appear in <strong>both<\/strong> the monthly and daily summaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"to-fix-this-9ed0503b-8a1b-482d-b291-52d6dbdbc061\"><strong>To fix this:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delete the May monthly summary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manually generate summaries for May 1\u201320<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep daily summaries for May 21 onward<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Note:<\/em><\/strong> The Per-payout mode is a complex process of gathering transactions based on the payout they relate to. Per-payout summaries cannot be generated manually. Contact support for assistance when switching to or from per-payout mode.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"verify-that-transactions-are-not-missing-or-duplicated-db46c754-a294-4540-85b3-770c7272edb3\"><strong>Verify That Transactions Are Not Missing or Duplicated<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019d like to double-check that each transaction is linked to only one summary, you can download the <strong>Register report<\/strong>. If a transaction has no summary ID associated with it, this indicates that it is missing from the summaries. If transactions appear under multiple summary IDs, the data contains duplicates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two Summary IDs \u2192 <strong>This indicates a duplicate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One Summary ID \u2192 <strong>This is correct; each transaction should be linked to a single summary.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No Summary ID \u2192 <strong>The transaction isn\u2019t associated with any summary and isn\u2019t recorded in the books.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Delete or generate summaries as needed to correct
