However, <em>Amazon, eBay, Shopify<\/em> tend to provide more consistent and detailed information through summary reports generated based on payouts rather than daily transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To align financial data with these payout-based summaries for smoother reconciliation, Synder offers Per Payout synchronization, making it an efficient solution for ecommerce operations on these platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"2\">How the Per payout period works<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re currently aggregating your summaries daily and would prefer them to be organized per payout, follow these steps in Synder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>. Go to <em>Settings <\/em>on the left-side menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>. Stay on the <em>General <\/em>tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>. For other platforms, switching to the Per Payout Summary period synchronization is currently unavailable.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note**: In case you notice some inconsistencies in your books after the switch and see duplicated data as the same transactions are included in both Per-Payout summaries and Daily ones, please contact our Support team and we will address this matter for you.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the Per Payout Summary period enabled, summaries for Amazon, eBay, Shopify and Stripe will capture and aggregate all transactions associated with a specific payout. This ensures that the summary totals directly correspond to the payout amounts displayed on your ecommerce platform or payment processor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s an example to illustrate this logic for you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Suppose you have a payout from Amazon for the period of February 1, 2024. Sometimes, during synchronization from and to certain platforms, some adjustments need to be made, and Synder may rearrange some data and add\/skip a few lines in the preview you see before the synchronization.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to understand that although you might be looking at one summary, Synder might create several journal entries, invoices, etc. in your accounting system as a result of one sync.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This may happen for several reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The payout in question spans several months<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s say you have a Shopify payout covering the period from September 28th to October 2nd. In this case, to recognize revenue in proper periods, Synder will post at least 2 transactions (journal entries, invoices, etc.) in your books:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A transaction for September (September 28 &#8211; September 30);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A transaction for October (October 1 &#8211; October 2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/multicurrency-sync-for-daily-summaries\/\"><strong>Multicurrency<\/strong><\/a><strong> is enabled and accounting for transactions in various currencies is needed<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, to record all currency conversion rates and automatically reconcile Clearing accounts in each of the involved currencies, Synder may need to additionally post transactions involving currency movements\/conversions in your books.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/HEEj1wcRPIZjA69sSU0S_PHKV1qhw7Qe9esCNEY52qA4pqCV_O5FDkLrl0dDzyFz-pYiNcOyu55kYW-SWv2NoAB2PBc9wYANgDCjVp_d90deWQ6YKZlTsGYUwxaETVPcuRtF5A2hLcDkqgmSnQdCaYM\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:633px;height:544px\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A combination of the two cases described above<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The key point is that Synder may prepare several transactions for synchronization, so there is no need to worry if more than one journal entry, invoice, etc., is posted to your books as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"4\">Synchronize Your Per Payout Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose a preferred method to synchronize the summary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manually: Ideal for beginners or those who prefer to oversee every detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatically: Let Synder handle the synchronization for you once all necessary data is prepared.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you see the green &#8216;Synced&#8217; status, your data has been successfully posted in your accounting system. The only thing left is to verify the results of the synchronization.
