{"id":16484,"date":"2021-05-25T15:42:54","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T15:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/?p=16484"},"modified":"2026-03-30T19:47:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T19:47:48","slug":"sales-receipt-can-not-be-synchronized-without-transaction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/sales-receipt-can-not-be-synchronized-without-transaction\/","title":{"rendered":"Error: Sales Receipt Can Not Be Synchronized Without Transaction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What It Means<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This error sometimes occurs with PayPal transactions when permissions are set incorrectly in your PayPal account, e.g. because the credentials you submitted are incorrect or invalid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible Reasons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You have used sandbox PayPal account credentials for the transaction instead of the live one. It may happen if you use PayPal as a gateway in an e-commerce platform that allows you to switch to test mode on the go.<\/li><li>Your shopping cart configuration may be restricting applications such as Synder from knowing the primary email address on the PayPal account for which they&#8217;re making the API call.<\/li><li>You have changed your PayPal credentials and didn\u2019t update them in Synder.<\/li><li>Your PayPal account is locked or inactive.<\/li><li>Your PayPal account is restricted.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Fix It<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reason A.<\/strong><br>If a transaction made in test mode ends up in Synder, you can just archive it. At any rate, it doesn\u2019t affect your actual accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reason B.<\/strong><br>Please check the configuration of your PayPal integration and grant the necessary permissions (you may try to enable the permissions one by one to see if they\u2019re enough).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reason C.<\/strong><br>Disconnect PayPal from Synder and then connect it again. Resync the failed transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reason D.<\/strong><br>PayPal accounts can be locked if you haven\u2019t provided PayPal with all the required information.
