Here is an outline of the reconciliation flow for the Payrix integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Synder normally works with two bank accounts:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>One account is a clearing one, used for recording sales transactions, fees and refunds (so you have correct gross and net income recorded). This account&nbsp;,\u201cPayrix (required for Synder)\u201d, is to be<strong> reconciled against the actual Payrix, <\/strong>and it will be created <strong>automatically <\/strong>once you connect Synder. <strong>No bank feeds<\/strong> will be created for the <a href=\"\/blog\/what-is-a-clearing-account\/\">clearing account<\/a> in Xero. Transactions from there are simply to be marked as \u201c<strong>reconciled<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li><li>The other account is your actual checking account, to which your bank feed is connected. When Payrix sends a settlement to your bank, Synder reflects this by making a <strong>transfer<\/strong> from the clearing to your checking account. <strong>This account is reconciled against your actual Bank.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Xero will automatically highlight those pieces that match, and all you\u2019ll need to do is click \u201cOK\u201d.<br><strong>Note: <\/strong>Payrix lets you synchronize your sales and fees only when you get settlements for them.<br>Now that we\u2019ve described the flow, let\u2019s get down to setting things up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"2\"><strong>Synder Settings &#8211; Configuring Accounts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Synder uses a clearing account which represents your Payrix account in Xero, thus money is recorded as <strong>sales\\refunds from a client to the clearing account<\/strong>, and then once the settlement happens, Synder creates a<strong> transfer from clearing to your checking bank account<\/strong>.<br>Follow the steps below to double-check your settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. <strong>Clearing account reconciliation:<br><\/strong>Once you enable the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/automatic-xero-bank-reconciliation-feature\/\">Auto-Reconcile Xero transactions<\/a><\/em> feature, Synder will mark all the sales\/refunds\/fees transactions as \u201c<strong>reconciled<\/strong>\u201d in the clearing account right during the sync.\u00a0Note that this setting is <strong>on by default<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"467\" src=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-1024x467.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21952\" srcset=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-1024x467.png 1024w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-300x137.png 300w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-768x350.png 768w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-1536x701.png 1536w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-60x27.png 60w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1-150x68.png 150w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-1.png 1883w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you have the <em>Payrix (required for Synder)<\/em> account in <em><strong>Sales<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Fees <\/strong><\/em>tabs, so that individual transactions are deposited there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"503\" src=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2-1024x503.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21953\" srcset=\"https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2-1024x503.png 1024w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2-300x147.png 300w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2-768x377.png 768w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2-60x29.png 60w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2-150x74.png 150w, https:\/\/synder.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/Reconcile-Payrix-Xero-2.png 1532w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <strong>Checking account reconciliation:<\/strong><br>Make sure, under the Payouts tab, a Checking bank account is selected. When you open its bank feeds, you will see that Xero has already pre-matched the bank statement lines to the transfers that Synder has brought. This means that Synder did the job for you, and now you are ready for smooth reconciliation, just clicking OK for all of your Payrix transfers there.
