Afterpay is a service that allows customers to pay for their purchases over time, interest-free. It\u2019s a service that has been booming lately \u2014 now you can even buy groceries with Afterpay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Does Afterpay Work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Afterpay is a service that allows customers to pay for their purchases over time in four equal installments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers can use Afterpay at checkout by choosing it as their payment option; they’ll then be prompted to pay the first installment upfront. The remaining three installments will be deducted from their account automatically over the next six weeks. Adding Afterpay to your Shopify store is a quick and easy process \u2013 you’ll first need to sign up for a merchant account with Afterpay. Once you’ve done this, you can follow the following steps to add Afterpay to your Shopify store:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin and go to \u2018Settings\u2019 > \u2018Payments.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Under the \u2018Alternative Payments\u2019 heading, select \u2018Choose alternative payment.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. In the next window, type \u201cAfterpay\u201d in the search bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. You’ll now have to enter your merchant ID and secret key. Both of these will be provided to you when you sign up for a merchant account on Afterpay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Click the \u2018Activate\u2019 button. Make sure the ‘Enable test mode\u2019 checkbox isn\u2019t checked before clicking on \u2018Activate.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    After you’ve added Afterpay to your Shopify store, you may want to add Afterpay messaging to your site so that customers know that this payment option is available. Afterpay messaging will appear as a text string under products saying that Afterpay payments are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Log in to your Shopify admin and go to \u2018Online Store\u2019 > \u2018Themes.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Find the theme you want to edit and click the \u2018Actions\u2019 button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. From the dropdown menu, select \u2018Edit Code.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. On the next page, locate \u2018theme.liquid\u2019 on the left pane.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
